ADULT FORMATION:
Provides an opportunity for all adult parishioners to continue their journey of faith. The parish provides education in prayer, sacred scripture, sacraments, morality, social justice and Catholic parenting, as well as opportunities to participate in small faith sharing groups.
SPECIAL RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (SPRED):
Sessions in religious formation, as well as celebrations for significant feasts,
and opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and retreats, are held
for developmentally challenged adults each Saturday. In addition to the weekly
session, there is a Mass on the first Saturday of the month for participants and
their families, followed by a breakfast at the Knights of Columbus hall.
YOUTH MINISTRY:
Provides spiritual, social and recreational activities for all young parishioners in grades nine through twelve. Events are structured to give the youth an opportunity to maintain and build their relationship with God, through their relationship with their parish, community and each other. A youth Mass is scheduled for the first Sunday of the month at 5:00 pm, with a social gathering following Mass.
ELEMENTARY, JUNIOR HIGH & SENIOR HIGH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION:
Sessions in religious education and spiritual formation are conducted for public and non-Catholic private school pupils on Tuesday afternoons for elementary children (kindergarten through grade six); junior high school (grades seven and eight) meets on Tuesday evenings; senior high school (grades nine through twelve) meets on Monday evenings. Curriculum consists of learning about the Catholic faith and encountering Christ in the Mass, the sacraments and prayer. Volunteer teachers instruct the students under the guidance of the Director of Religious Education and parish priests.
FAITH OF OUR TODDLERS (FOOT):
Children ages three and four have an opportunity to learn about God at their own developmental level. Meets on Sunday mornings during the 10:00 a.m. Mass.
BUILDING COMMUNITY (EVANGELIZATION OUTREACH):
An open forum designed to provide an opportunity for parishioners to discuss issues of interest relating to our faith, our Church and our parish. The forum provides an occasion to view our Church and parish through the perspective of the Second Vatican Council. We examine how we see ourselves as evangelizers, and as “disciples” in a secular world. We study scripture in preparation for our Sunday worship and share with other religions in prayer and contemplative outreach. Friends from other faith backgrounds are also welcome. We meet at the Seton Center on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 until 8:45, September through June.
