Environmental Committee

- St. Jane de Chantal's Environmental Committee responds to the Bible's mandate on the parish level to
  Care for God's Creation including our natural world and the poor who suffer most from climate change.
  The goal is to educate, advocate, and act to protect our natural resources as individuals. Look for notices
  in the bulletin giving suggestions about how to save energy, save money, and help preserve our environment.

  Pope Francis in his Laudato Si encyclical exhorts all to take care of the Earth, Our Common Home. The goal is not simply to care for the Earth, but to care for each other and all living beings. All are part of God’s Creation. Pope Francis is not the first pope to pontificate on this concern for the environment and the disproportionate impact of any deterioration of God’s creation.
